Hello! 
I'm Laura & I live in Gloucestershire. I create original artwork, modern art, & contemporary abstract prints inspired by colour, texture, & movement. My collection includes abstract paintings, minimalist art, fine art prints, & unique wall décor designed for homes, studios, & interior spaces looking for modern colourful design & unique one-of-a-kind art.
My particular favourite work is rooted in the everyday & objects we live with. Each painting is about turning the ordinary into something worth pausing for. I’m drawn to still life & kitchenware (in fact I sell vintage kitchenware when I'm not painting, my favourite pieces being enamel & wooden pieces with character - I love that they carry such personality). I love rust, dents, patina, crazing, broken pieces, decay, cracks, flaking paint. If something is too shiny & new, I'm not really interested. 
When completing a piece of my art, say a still life, I deliberately weather the surface, introducing erosion and marks of use to create a sense of time, history & imperfect beauty.

I've recently completed some abstract pieces inspired by movement in nature. This collection will be added to soon with some more colour-filled canvases & boards.
